Bishops Waltham Makers & Vintage – 02/11/2024

This event is set in the delightful medieval market town of Bishop’s Waltham in their Jubilee hall, a stone’s throw from the town centre, with it’s own large private car-park.

Arrival to set-up from 8.30am and no later than 9am to allow you plenty of time to set up.

The private car park is owned by the Jubilee Hall and so the charges are extremely reasonable £1.50 for the whole day. You can pay by cash or card. Visitors get 2 hours free.

Tear-down is from 4.00pm.

We provide tables and chairs for this event.

There is very limited wall/hanging space, and due to the hall layout, we ask that tables are not moved. There is no additional space to the side of tables in general, so if you require additional space, please contact us.

This event is only run 3 to 4 times per year.

Bishop’s Waltham (or Bishops Waltham) is a medieval market town situated at the source of the River Hamble in Hampshire. It has a foot in the South Downs National Park and is located at the midpoint of a long-established route between Winchester and Portsmouth. It is home to the ruins of Bishop’s Waltham Palace under English Heritage management, and a well-preserved high street with many listed buildings which now house independent shops.

Bishop’s Waltham’s long history includes a roll call of Medieval and Tudor kings and queens who visited the town to stay at the palace. The name of the town is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words: “wald” (forest) and “ham” (settlement).

Modern day Bishop’s Waltham has a population of over 6,723 and is the largest settlement in the Winchester district outside the city itself.
